Name Changed...Officially Mrs. F!

We went to the social security administration today and I filled out the paperwork to change my name! I was a little sad because I've had my name for 23 years...and now it is different! After that we went and bought a new gas grill for the patio. I got a very generous gift from my parents for the wedding and we used part of that to get a new grill, it comes next Wednesday and I can't wait to start grilling!!!

I promised that I would put up pictures of Samson as soon as I could and I got a couple of them from my iPhone!

We bought a hammock the other day and put it in the front yard. Samson was exhausted from our efforts...so he dug a hole and took a nap under the hammock.

We bought a dog bed for a XL dog....Samson is no where near XL, but someday he will be!!
My husband (ahhh!!!) and my puppy love! Look how tiny he is!

Mrs. Freeman!

We're married! I'm so happy, and I feel so relaxed now that everything is done. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and I'm very glad that everyone could make it! Sunday we went to Columbus and yesterday we ventured to the western side of the state and brought home our puppy!

Samson is doing well so far. Only one accident and lots of potty trips outside! I will put up pictures as soon as I unpack the camera from whatever box it is hiding in.

So Close....!

So it is Tuesday and my wedding is just a few days away. We have to give the final count to Patrick tomorrow, we're picking up our marriage license in the morning, and the bridal party begins arriving tomorrow. I'm really excited, and at the same time very stressed out.

I didn't realize how crazy it would be to stop working at G.A., move to Ohio and get married within a week. It was really emotional and I have been exhausted since we got here. The house is slowly coming together, and the wedding details are all falling into place.

Productive Day...In Different Ways

This morning I found out that I passed BOTH Praxis tests that I needed for a teaching license in Ohio. I was so relieved. I ran to my boss's office and asked for a hug- she was so happy for me, and it was like a weight was lifted from my shoulders. Now to lift the other two weights!

I got switched out of my trip to the beach today to go fishing. It was ok because it was with two kids that are pretty decent to be around, and a staff member that is totally cool. We arrived at the fishing location to find an injured Canada goose. His wing was dragging on the ground and he just looked miserable. We tried to feed him some bread, but he wouldn't take it, and he didn't seem overly upset by our presence. I ended up calling the Animal Rescue League because I was worried about him, they sent an emergency pick up vehicle to come get him. I hope that he makes a full recovery!!

We also got to make a side trip to Dairy Queen on the way home which was really fun. I'm going to miss G.A.!!!!

I'm in Boston now, waiting for J to get out of interviews. As soon as he is done we are going to get some food and then he has his second to last class. So close, I can't believe there are only 4 more sleeps in my apartment...bittersweet.

Harry Potter Marathon

So I'm a dork and I really like Harry Potter- I'm not the person who dresses up like Hermione and goes to the midnight showing when it opens- but I will sit on the couch and watch the first five movies over the course of four days! I've also been trying to pack up, but I'm so unmotivated.

I'm afraid to move away from everything I've always known. I know that it will be exciting to do something new, and I'm thrilled about our house, our wedding, and my new puppy, but I'm still afraid to go. I am putting off packing to try and avoid the reality that J will get the truck on Friday and we will drive away on Saturday. I've made so many trips to Ohio, but I've always known that I'm coming back. Now Ohio will be my home and I'm just not ready to accept that yet.

Tomorrow is my last Monday at G.A. The students are sad, the staff is sad, I'm sad. I really enjoy working with the people that I work with, and I really enjoy the students (for the most part!). Hopefully I pass my Praxis tests and will be able to get a job in Ohio.

1 Week Remains...

Well, J and I move from Boston to Ohio next Saturday. We have one week to get everything in order. I'm still in shock. I've been so busy that I haven't even had time to think, let alone talk to anyone. I feel bad because I miss my friends so much but between the move and the wedding and finishing up at school my life is chaos.

The students have been very clingy since the summer program started. They ask me every day when I am leaving, how long I am staying, why I am going out before my wedding, and when I am coming back to visit. Part of me is sad because I know next fall after the initial shock of me not being there, they will get over it, but I know that is for the best.

This weekend we are going to pack up the house. We will be eating out (what's new?) all of next week. I am working on a special project...I will put it up here after the wedding!

The saddest part of all of this is that I will have to give up my laptop when I leave...nooooo!!! J and I will have to go back to sharing, and he has a HP laptop so it just won't be the same as my macbook.

It's Independence Day!!!!!

Ok, so it's really July 6th, but that's ok! J and I went camping in Maine with our good friend this weekend. It was a great, relaxing, three day weekend! It gave J and I a lot of time to talk about things that are going on and the move to Ohio. We came to a decision that with our new marraige and new house we are going to get a new puppy!

The puppy on the right is Samson and he will be coming home shortly after our wedding. I am so excited to have a puppy- I can't wait to meet all of the other dog owner's in my neighborhood!
